After failing to build the whole armor set using pepakura, the client ordered a set of models suitable for making vacuum mold forms. I haven't heard if this has made any progress, but the models are done anyhow.

The seams in the original model were just textured on, so this model's geometry had to be very different to allow the correct indents and creases. There was also a fair amount of artistic license involved. I hope I've done the original intent justice.

Originally the face mask was closed so you wouldn't wonder why none of the troopers have faces. However, for a real costume, it was more expedient to have an opening at the bottom. Breathing air and all that.

The head geometry is as close as I could get to the original, while still increasing the resolution and extrapolating geometry from textures.

You can see how the lower armor rises up to meet the upper chest piece front and back. I found this feature a nice touch, as it allows a justifiable powered armor, while also looking stylish.

I also love the pads on the back of the arms. I think those are the my favorite feature in the whole suit.
