The original image was taken at the Getty Villa, where there was a row of statues that you see in the background. The row seemed incomplete, as there was a gap at the end where another plinth seemed to belong.
I had Anna stand in the spot and took this picture. The face is a 3d model I made of her head, rendered in the correct position and lighting, and carefully combined with the original image.
Perhaps not photo-realistic, but an interesting exercise.
