A neighbor's aspen tree blew over in a windstorm, so we are planning on installing the trunk in our house. Currently waiting for the trunk to dry.

A neighbor's aspen tree blew over in a windstorm, so we brought it home and lopped it down to the main boughs.
And then hung it up to dry. You can see where I've shaped the trunk a bit with the expectation of installing it in the main stairwell of the house. It still needs to dry out quite a bit more though.
Also pictured are some steel lateral members I welded to the car cover to strengthen it after the wind blew it away and bent it all out of shape.
